HLS December Watercolour Challenge

Hello and welcome to the last watercolour challenge for 2017. It is also my last challenge as a team member as I will be stepping down to pursue things that I have been wanting to do but didn't have the time. You will be seeing me from time to time as a participant in the gallery.

It is December and we would love to see your Christmas watercolour creations! This is optional and we won't hold you to it. Just have fun!

My focal point for this month's card is by MFT called Die-namics Deer Love. I added a few diecut snowflakes from the Merry & Bright Stamp TV Kit and a sentiment from Scripty Holidays by Gina K. Designs.

Holiday Greetings

Well hello and welcome!

I have a super quick and easy water colored card to show you all today featuring an image and sentiment from the set Dashing by Gina K. Designs. It was a Christmas release from last year but its one of my favorite holiday sets and I seem to reach for it quite often.

 First I heat embossed my panel with clear sparkling embossing powder over black onyx ink. Then I water colored the poinsettias with Winsor & Newton watercolors and lightly water colored the background as well.

You Are Always On My Mind

Hello there! I have been away the past several days visiting my son and his family in Iowa. We celebrated my granddaughter's 1st birthday and the following day we took the kids Trick-or-Treating. It was a very fun and busy weekend!

 I had time today to create this super quick and easy one layer card featuring a stencil by Gina K. Designs called Daisy Chain. The sentiment is from the Boho Flowers stamp set and the die cut You is a stand-alone die.

Thank You For Your Kindness

Hello, hello my friends!

I whipped up this CAS card after watching Gina K demonstrating a technique using real leaves and Oxide Inks. For the sentiment I created my own by combining two from her amazing Stitched Leaves mini kit. I did some masking so only the "thank you" was left and stamped it above another. Good morning all!

I created this card with the August My Monthly Hero card kit by Hero Arts. It's the first time I had a chance to play around with it. I've been so busy going on mini camping trips with my hubby and fur babies on the weekends this past summer that I haven't done too much stamping. Also used was the Starlit die by Memory Box to several areas on my card.

Hello and welcome to the start of a new month and a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.

As you already know it's always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist. This month we would like to see some gold on your projects.

Here is my take on the challenge. I watercoloured the background with Distress Oxides in the following colors, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber. I can not get enough of these inks. This has to be one of my most favorite color combos and I use it whenever I can.

My card also feature images from the following stamp sets, Stitched Leaves mini kit, Fabulous Rose Framed stamp set and Stately Flowers 11 all by Gina K. Designs.

PTI September Blog Hop - Hello

Hello hello my friends!

I'm participating this month in Papertrey Ink's September Blog Hop. Here is the inspiration photo Nichole has chosen to jumpstart our creativity.

As soon as I saw the graphics I thought of the set Spring Woods. I added the "hello" sentiment from the mini set Heart-2-Heart #4. Before I adhered my die cuts and heat embossed my sentiment I die cut my front with one of the Stitched circle dies. As a finishing touch white dots were added to the flowers.

For my first card I did a little water color "smooshing" to my background with the following GKD inks, Kraft and Dark Chocolate. For the leaf I used Distress Oxide inks.

Here I used one leaf image and the "Rock n Roll" technique ( on some of the leaves ) with the following GKD inks, Jelly Bean Green, Dusty Rose and Sweet Mango. Click here to view this technique.

I repeatedly stamped all leaf images in Dark Chocolate GKD ink on kraft cardstock. The die cut and sentiment were stamped in GKD Jelly Bean Green ink.

My last card is one that I showed at the release party a couple of weeks ago. The bottom portion of my card was sponged with Distress Oxide Inks and stamped three times with one of the leaf images. The friend die cut was stamped with Blue Lagoon GKD ink and heat embossed with clear sparkle embossing powder.
